Q: Who does Harbor Family Services serve?
A: HFS provides a variety of services for families whose children need help with behavior, substance abuse, mental illness, medication management, social skills and anger management.
Q: Does Harbor Family Service’s have psychiatric services?
A: Yes! Harbor Family Services has a formal relationship with Acadia Hospital providing psychiatric consultation to our programs including prescribing and the management of medications to treat emotional and behavioral disabilities.
Q: What kind of services does Harbor Family Services offer?
A: HFS provides in home and out of home behavioral health services to treat an array of emotional, social and psychiatric disabilities. Services include individual, family and group therapy. The selection and intensity of therapy depends on desired outcomes expressed by the family and service providers involved with the family.
Q: Am I eligible for services?
A: Yes! To be eligible for Harbor Family Services you must have or be eligible for Maine Care. We are also in the process of developing capability of serving families with private insurance companies such as Anthem and Aetna so please call and if we can’t help you we will help you find someone who can.
